This is a site that has the intent to register
and show my tries with the reproduction of the J. Bedini system,
at its version called "School Girl".
The overall system. Rim, batteries, circuit and connections.
A magnet in detail, showing the plastic tape and the high expansion
polyurethane foam.
This foam really glue the magnets on the rim but it is also
removable if one wish to rearrange the magnets.
There are 20 magnet in a 20 pol rim. Each is distant from each other
by approximately 6.2 mm
The magnets are ceramic with 33 x 22 x 8 mm
New coil !
1000 turns of #20 and #23.
The first two coils (04_16_2013)
has a spool opening of 25 mm diameter.
This new one has 20 mm opening diameter.
The coils has (power) 4,3 and (trigger) 8,2 ohms Is
this OK ?
All the coil contacts are welded, not stapled.
The protuberance of the welding rods filling the spool is from 4
to 5 mm Is this OK ?
The coil core is filled two gauge welding rods. One with about one
with 2mm and the other with 1,3mm. This is to maximize the filling
of the space.
Two lead acid batteries of 12V and 7Ah. One band new (Primary) the
other more or less (Secondary).
Now both batteries are brand new !
The wires coming and going to the batteries
were changed to thicker ones.
This is the classical SSG design. I just had to use two IN4007 and
could not find the IN4001 here in Brazil.
This is the assemble number 8. All the other
were burned somehow while doing tests or never really were able to
sustain spinning of the wheel...
(I am learning how to weld !)
The 1 ohm resistor test was made and the drop
of potential at the resistor was about 120mV.
One sweet spot the seems to be the best one is at 16.8 Km/h and
about 75mA been drawn form the primary battery
