This is a site that has the intent to register
and show my tries with the reproduction of the J. Bedini system,
at its version called "School Girl".
The overall system. Rim, batteries, circuit and connections.
A magnet in detail, showing the plastic tape and the high expansion
polyurethane foam.
This foam really glue the magnets on the rim but it is also
removable if one wish to rearrange the magnets.
There are 20 magnet in a 20 pol rim. Each is distant from each other
by approximately 6.2 mm
The magnets are ceramic with 33 x 22 x 8 mm
The coil in detail.
It is a 850 turns of the wires 20 and 24.
Theoretically, the 20 wire coil will have 3,5 ohms and the 24 will
have 9,3 ohms.
The coil core is filled two gauge welding rods. One with about one
with 2mm and the other with 1,3mm. This is to maximize the filling
of the space.
Next will start to use a 1000 turns, 20 and 23.
Two lead acid batteries of 12V and 7Ah. One band new (Primary) the
other more or less (Secondary).
This is the classical SSG design. I just had to use two IN4007 and
could not find the IN4001 here in Brazil.
This is the meter of speed of the rim, in Km/h.
I am burning transistors like crazy :-)
Until now i had to made 6 circuits because each time i did something
that, i suppose, kill something and the wheel do not sustain
rotation.
The 1 ohm resistor test was made and the drop of potential at the
resistor was about 230mV.
Next will do the search for sweet spots.
